Moss & Ember · Apple Vision Pro

A little help.

Get your island settled, your slingshot ready, and your fireflies home.

Updated 6 September 2026 · version 1.2

Start your first island

Use Apple Vision Pro with visionOS 2 or later. In the information window, choose Enter the space. Allow World Sensing to find surfaces and Hand Tracking for the two-handed slingshot. Look around, select a highlighted surface, adjust the island, then confirm its placement. Leave enough space to move your hands.

Hold a pinch with your left hand to hold the fork. Pinch near the pouch with your right hand, pull back, aim, then release the pulling pinch to fire. Enable Left-handed in Settings to swap hands. You can also pinch and drag the 3D pouch.

The surface or saved island is missing

Look around the original area so the headset can recover its tracking. A selected surface must have enough usable space for the island; try a larger area or a smaller island. You can choose a new surface if the old position cannot be found.

If World Sensing is unavailable, review the app’s permission in system Settings, then reopen the immersive space. The placement controls also offer a floating position in front of you. If tracking is lost, play pauses until the island’s position is recovered.

The slingshot does not follow my hands

Check Hand Tracking permission and keep both hands visible to the headset. Bring the pulling pinch close to the pouch before drawing the band. Releasing the pulling pinch fires the shot. The spatial pouch-drag gesture is an alternative to the two-handed interaction.

If the space does not open, close another immersive app and try again. Use the Digital Crown or the game’s Exit control to leave the space.

Daily goals, expeditions and companions

After placing your island, open Garden. Today shows three daily goals. Expedition resumes your next unfinished stage. Collection lets you equip an unlocked companion. Rewards are granted automatically after an eligible victory; practice and local duels do not award light.

Daily content changes at 00:00 UTC. Weekly expeditions change on Monday at 00:00 UTC. A run started before the change can finish, but old content does not earn the new period’s timed rewards. Dates come from the device clock; there is no online score server. Missing a day does not erase earned companions or mastery medals.

Progress, settings and deletion

Progress is saved locally on this headset, including stars, records, daily goals, expedition checkpoints and companions. There is no app account or app-managed cloud sync. We cannot restore a save from a developer server.

Choose Settings → Reset progress and confirm to clear earned progress and companions. This does not reset sound, handedness, decorative-motion preferences or the island placement. Choose a new placement to replace the previous anchor. Deleting the app removes its local app data; copies in Apple-managed backups are controlled through your Apple settings.

Availability and purchases

The app is preparing for public App Store release. Launch pricing has not been announced. The current build has no In-App Purchases or subscriptions, so there is no in-app purchase to restore. Local duels use one headset, with players taking turns; online multiplayer is not included.
